Man's
loyalties tend to be frail and situation-dependent. Even worse,
his only true sense of loyalty is often to himself alone. Fortunately
nature can be a model of reassuring dependability in a world where
faithfulness constantly vies with convenience.
"So
let us know, let us press on to know the Lord.
His going forth is as certain as the dawn;
And He will come to us like the rain,
Like the spring rain watering the earth."
